Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has expressed his delight as well as satisfaction after being named UEFA's Best Player in Europe for the 2012-13 season. The Frenchman, who was nominated alongside Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and four-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, was named the victor at the UEFA Champions League draw on Thursday. Ribery played a prominent role in Bayern's unprecedented treble-winning campaign under Jupp Heynckes, as they lifted the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League titles.
